I downloaded a sample and found it funny and interesting. So I ended up buying the box set because it was cheaper to get all three at once than buying the first three individually. Unfortunately, once I got through with the first book, I realized it really wasn't worth my continuing with the series. Reasons why:1. I have a very high disbelief threshold (e.g., I love Darynda Jones, Julie Moffitt, Terri Austin, Camilla Monk, all of whose series are quite outrageous) but this just didn't work for me. The main character who is supposed to be a great spy lacks common sense. She continuously does things with children and friends that anyone with functioning brain cells would realize was not acceptable.
2. The story trends to state things, e.g. the character is any amazing agent, so smart, slutty, bimbo, etc. All of these could have been better described without spoon feeding to the reader.
3. The situations/settings were disjointed and sometimes didn't jive with the storyline.
Anyway, these books are too light and fluffy for my taste. Normally I'd rate it one star since I don't plan on buying anymore by this author. But I gave it another star because while i didn't like these aspects of the series, the stories were well written.

I really enjoyed these books. The transition for Merry from active service to citizen creates some very unusual situations...some very serious...other quite amusing. Read them and enjoy!!!
Let me tell you, this is one of the best series I've ever read. It's funny, got complicated characters who are fantastic and has a great storyline. I can't wait to read the next one and hope there's plenty more to come.
bought the boxed sets and will delete from my storage...I wish someone had said that she uses a lot of cuss words...don't like to read bad words...just my opinion...but not for me
Found this to be a fun merry wrath book.
How can a former CIA spy turned girl scout leader not be.
The boxed set contains the 1st three books in the Merry Wrath series. I absolutely love this series. It is highly entertaining. I warn you once you start reading the series you will be addicted.
I pretty much think her behavior towards men ruined this book. She acted like a teenage girl with a big crush. This makes it very hard to believe she was a well trained CIA agent.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series of books and have the fourth in the series waiting to be read. All three of these books are very funny with a good, engaging mystery thrown in the mix. I read a lot of cozy mysteries but my favorite always have a lot of humor in them. If I want to go to the dark side, I opt for a hard-boiled detective or a suspenseful serial killer mystery. I highly recommend these books IF you want to have a lot of laughs while trying to solve a good mystery.
